“Ranchers [and farmers] often work in isolation with limited support systems. Sparsely populated, eastern Montana lacks the rancher [farmer] support system necessary to assist adoption of practices … Thus, a support group was created for ranchers [and farmers] to meet regularly, share experiences, and promote mentorship among new and experienced regenerative grazing adopters.”
Community Engagement and Education USDA Southwest Climate Hub
We are a group of ranchers, farmers, and ag enthusiasts working together to regenerate our soils, plants, animals, and ourselves. We’re focused on regenerative agriculture in eastern Montana. EMRA is a place where we come together to discuss ways to improve the land and our operations for the current generation and generations to come. EMRA is a place where we share success and ‘learning experiences’, ask for advice, and provide mentorship. We have similar, but not always the same, goals. Our guiding principles are applicable and valuable, regardless of the different contexts they are applied to.
At EMRA, we are creating supportive relationships to help us challenge our existing paradigms, to build profitable and sustainable enterprises, and to regenerate our land. We do this through regular gatherings, ranch tours, educational opportunities, and networking opportunities.
