EMRA Update August 2025

R2R Mentorship launched

Along with WSE, EMRA is proud to launch the Rancher 2 Rancher Mentorship program (R2R). Let us help match you to a fellow rancher who could mentor you along your regenerative journey. As a mentee, you get to learn from peers who have experience that can save you time and money. This program can take the frustration and risk out of transitioning to a regenerative system. Technical assistance can include the development of grazing management plans, infrastructure development and much more. If this sounds interesting to you, reach out Sue, Sarafina or a board member.

EMRA – August 1st Range Walk at Bannister Ranch near Wibaux, Montana

On August 1st, EMRA held the annual Range walk at the Bannister Ranch near Wibaux, MT. The weather was beautiful. Ray graciously shared his story and their Boom-Bust grazing system with the group. He offered years of ranching experience, advice, and added humor. We viewed multiple sites on the ranch and observed the effects of his grazing system. The kids who were present spent time wandering around looking for insects in the grass or cow pats. After touring, the group of 25 enjoyed a potluck picnic at the Bannister’s house. A great afternoon spent with great people.

Thank you, Bannister’s, for hosting EMRA’s annual Range Walk!
